A:GazoPa is a next generation similar image search engine that uses image features such as a color and a shape that are extracted from an image.

Q:How do I search for a similar image using GazoPa?

A: There are various kinds of methods to search for similar images.

  1. Upload an image from your PC.
  2. Draw a picture.
  3. Paste image URL into the search field
  4. Enter keyword to the search field and click any images on the result page.
  5. Install the GazoPa plugin for Firefox. Right-click on any web image.
  6. Install GazoPa bookmarklet and click on any web images.
  7. Click 'Shuffle' link and click on any images

Combined search(Image + Keyword search) : Set key image by any of above methods and enter keyword.

Q: What does 'Standard' 'Layout' mean?

A: Standard can search for images in average. Layout can search for images that are given priority to composition.

Q: What does 'Shuffle' mean?

A: Images are displayed at random. You can have a chance to encounter wonderful images.

Q: What limits for images to upload?

A: File size : 4 megabyte

Q: Does GazoPa search for a same image?

A: No, but partially, Yes. GazoPa search for 'similar' images rather than 'same' images. As you may see, same images are displayed as search results. But it is because these images are regarded as similar ones rather than same ones. We think GazoPa is a search engine that can help you to find various kinds of images, we focus on similarity rather than sameness.

Q: I can't get good search results.

A: Please try search parameters such as color, shape, layout, face.
We believe the more data we have, the better results we can return. Since we're crawling the web continuously, please come back later.

Q: How do I prevent my site or certain subdirectories from being crawled?

A: As part of the crawling effort, the GazoPabot crawler takes robots.txt standards into account to ensure we do not crawl and index content from those pages whose content you do not want included in GazoPa Search. If a page is disallowed to be crawled by robots.txt standards, GazoPa does not read or use the contents of that page.

Q: Are images uploaded to GazoPa added to search index?

A: No. Images uploaded to GazoPa are not added to the search index, nor are they made accessible by other users automatically, unless users expressly choose to publish their photos and drawings.
